"Our young fellow started with kids on 19 four months ago. In the time he has been at the “school as he calls it” he has become a totally different child. He was previously in home based care and was experiencing some severe issues within himself – to the extent that the Paediatricians were in the process of testing him for learning and behavioural disabilities such as Autism. Within 2 weeks of attending kids on 19 he had turned a corner, he stopped his erratic screaming fits & violent behaviours, he started eating, sleeping and most of all was happy in himself – not to mention his personal growth. We now have the pleasure of hearing him sing, laugh and have real conversations. One thing I do like about the centre is that the children can be just that ‘children’. They are granted autonomy along with structure and routine meaning our little one can enjoy his infancy, when we were looking for care it was apparent to us that a lot of the centres felt institutionalised and had rigid regimes.
